Under normal conditions, the beds will not separate — particularly if they are used within a piece of furniture that surrounds the bed to help define the space.

Even without a piece of furniture, it's rare that the beds will separate as the weight of the bases and the mattresses will require a decent amount of force to move. Additionally, one of the benefits of KEAM® Intelli Density technology is that it provides a great edge-to-edge sleeping surface that will minimize any feeling of the “split” as long as the mattresses are the same height. If you choose to customize one side or the other, there will be a feel difference when you move from one side of the bed to the other.

We do not recommend different heights as your sleep experience may be poor due to the difference between heights.

All KEAM beds have a model identifier i.e. Infusion X-Flex, Infusion Energy, or Infusion Hybrid. As long as you choose a mattress with the same model identifier, the mattress will be manufactured to have the same profile height.  

For example:

Infusion X-Flex® has a mattress height of 10"

Infusion Energy® has a mattress height of 12”

Infusion Hybrid° has a mattress height of 14"

A Split King or Split California King allows for two people to have their own sleep space that is customized to their wants and needs.

Each sleeper can have a mattress that's their ideal feel without compromising.

Plus, with an adjustable base, you can individualize your sleeping position by elevating your head and/or legs separate from your bed partner. This can also help with snoring and make reading, watching TV, or working in bed easier—separately or together.

The mattress edges are rounded therefore there may be a slight gap, but most owners do not feel it or have issues with it.
